Howdy all - hoping some folks can share their experiences lowering the CL55 amg/C215 from stock ride height. I've got an '01 AMG with fully functional ABS but can't seem to find any details about spec ride height. I've got a set of VRP lowering links I'm going to install this week so curious if anyone can share what amount of lowering did/didn't work well for them. Thinking I can get away with an inch but maybe 1/2-3/4" would be more appropriate. Currently riding on 18" mono block 2's and Michelin Pilot Sport all seasons. 245/45 zr

hello, did you ever install your lowering kit? i've got a 2002 cl 55 amg and a ebay lowering kit to go on. did you have any problems? i do have the abc with no problems and don't want to cause any issues. also plan on putting some 19" after market wheels on it. thanks.

howdy, I actually ended up buying the Programa V2 lowering module for ABC (still haven’t installed however). It comes with a remote and is entirely electronic so I figure it would maybe be simpler than the physically demanding job of the lowering links. I was worried I’d put the links on, drop the car, only to see it was off by one thread turn on one side and have to get back in and go back and forth. While the front links look simple enough, the rears seem to be a pain to get in.

the programa was only about $500 and gives full control at any time you’d like. Reversible mod as well. I figure it was worth the extra to have that control for less than the price of the renntech module.

only thing I’m worried about is unforeseen compatibility issues with my CL. They advertise it works with all ABC and airmatic but some models don’t accept remote etc. we’ll see.
