2001,CL 500
i usually bash the new cl as it usually looks like dog****...

however this looks great and a couple of other times pictures were posted where it looked very nice...

i think these photographs may even make some of the people on here who hate it time after time start to change thier minds...

ya that pretty much explains it. i cant get past the new CL just yet without seeing one in person, but i reeeeealy like this brabus version.

you guys know how it goes. it always look ugly in the first look but after a while, it kinda grows on you.

soo true. I took a look at the latest Dub magazine (with Little Jon on the front - issue 37) and TISwheels took one and put some 22's on it isn't half bad. I'm not sure if the picture is actual or a drawing, but it is worth looking at.

Oh, and that Brabus CL still looks like to me. sorry, but I'm really trying to like this car. I'm a coupe man through and through, since the RX7, Honda, Prelude, etc.... so, I was hoping for something more than an 07 S Class with two doors.

That's what the CL is, an S with two-doors, why did you expect something else? BTW, it looks astounding!!!

Well, take a look at the 2005 CL & 2005 S from the front and you'll see that both cars have their own personality. The 05 or 215 CL has the double head lights and the S has the lights that slightly wrap around the front panels. Now, look at the rear side of the new CL (216) and you are reminded of the New S. It's not uncommon for a car mfg to do this, but I expected something different.

I respect your opinion about the car being “astounding”. I hope my opinion changes once I see and sit in the car, but there was no love at first site for me when I saw the pictures. For example – When I saw the pictures of the BMW 645 I said whoaaa!!!! Then I saw it in person and was even more impressed.
This new CL made my skin itch.

I'm also on the fence with the 216, its just not as sexy as the 215. The one thing I can say though, is I didnt like the 215 when it was initially introduced so the new one will probably just need to grow on me.
