CL600 vs E55

Hi guys. I was pretty sure I was going to get the E55, however, the recent reflash problems with it are making me consider the Cl600 as well. If you have not heard, many E55 owners are reporting power loss after their ECU got reflashed at the dealer and are extremely unhappy. It is rumoured that Mercedes may be cutting power on 55's to make 63's more appealing. Anyways, I have a few questions for the CL600 owners.

1. My price range is to stay under 60k. How reliable is the 03 model? Should I be concerned with high mileage, 35k+? What are the common problems and how costly are they if the car is out of the warranty?

2. If I retune my CL600 with renntech ecu/tcu, will the reliability be compromised? Is everyone happy with their renntech tuned cl600?

3. How does CL600 compare to E55 in terms of handling and acceleration? Will Cl600 outaccelerate E55 on a highway roll? Will the E55 be significantly faster through the twisties? If you've driven both, please let me know how they compare.

The CL600 is much faster in a straight line. The turbos just keep pulling.
