Thanks for the complements.
BTW - The Star in the grill is within black plastic. I believe that it contains the distronic radar. A CL without distronic would have the normal grill.

Beautiful car. I didn't notice the parktronic indents on your bumpers. Maybe the lighting? I see the indents on some cars and not on others but my dealer has assured me parktronic is standard on the CL. If my rep is wrong I am going to strangle him....

Good eye I didn't notice that it did not have the parktronic indents. Hmm.. Maybe they finally figure out how to integrate it into the bummer with the little circles.

Without distronic, you would have the ultrasound pucks.

I'm not sure I completely agree with you on this.
As far as I know Distronic only works for the front. It wouldn't explain why the ultrasound pucks are missing from the back bumper.
IMHO - Merc finally hind them sound how behind the bumber.

I think you are correct. I saw a blurb in some car magazine that Merc had figured out how to to do Park Assist without the pucks being visible.
I am not sure though why they are visible on some cl's and not on others.
Since it is probably more expensive to hide the pucks it could be they are not visible on cl's with the Distronic Plus option or possibly, they hide them on the CL 600 and have them visible on the CL550.

Sometimes I see pics and the car looks nice and some pics it doesn't. It doesn't in these pics. Looks awkward. I'm biased because the previous model is one of my all time favorite cars in the universe. I saw a Brabus version and it looked pretty good. I hope you mod yours. Congrats!

I hate when I navigate outside my w210 forum!!! great pics, SWEET ride. Great color combo. I like the rear seats with the partial in the middle. I have noticed alot of car companies doing such, ex BMW. You can actually get some function out of a usually wasted area of space!

actually distronic plus does have rear radar to monitor vehicles following you as well. It is also used in the CL for the blind spot detection system. So yes there is a distronic radar in the rear.

It will take time as usual, but this one will go that route too - sorry to say - someone in the some obscure design room at Mercedes is already working on the next body style due out around 2013!
