CL63 ordering specs now available at dealers
Dealers can now spec cars, but no specific build/launch timing or allocs yet.
Only options: PII (NtView and RearViewCams), 030 Perf Package, DistronicPlus and iPod compat kit.
Incls AMG Premium leather and Alcantara headliner.
Not a fan of the Premium leather in CL550 (IMO too coarsely-grained/plasticky).....anyone know if AMG Premium leather is a finer-grain leather than 550's Premium leather???

That would be excellent if it is 600-like leather....
Have owned countless new CL/SL/S55/600/65's over past several yrs (curr have '07 CL600) and am looking fwd to CL63 more than any other car.....should be an awesome car.....

Black 'O8 SL55, Black GL450 loaded
I've got a deposit on a CL63, saw the ordering specs. yesterday. Anyone know from past experience if a Designo package is likely to be offered? Also, is titanium grey a new color?
Thanks

As much of a fanatic as I am for fine materials, having owned '07 SL65 w/its woeful dry, uneven pavement and wet pavement traction, I'm not getting another 65 until MB can engineer a chassis/stab ctrls that match tq of car (even the 599 has much better wet traction than 65s)...perhaps MB's rumored NA V12 (supposedly a poss early CY08 launch) will be more interesting and balanced for guys who actually like usable power....

Titanium Grey is a new color for the CL, this year, and is in the CL "brochure".
030 Performance package includes 20" wheels, Black Piano wood plus performance enhancements, ie 186 de-limiter etc.
P1 CL option package is standard on CL63
CL63 will be a 2008 model

I strongly suggest Vadim from MBLN.

Yeah, I know but was hoping to get an idea of how much the 030 package would be. Some times that option gets pricey.

Sent email to mbusa b/c was concerned leather of 63 would be as shabby as 550's....their response wasn't particularly helpful....but did indicate Espresso and Graphite Designo versions would follow at some point and CL65 is a 3Q07 launch w/typical 65 (?Exclusive Passion) leather....As much of a fanatic as I am for fine materials,....

Performance package
I just placed an order for a cl 63. The dealer told me that the 030 performance package (20" rims, delimiter, CARBON-FIBER interior (not black piano wood), was going to run between 10-14k. Also he said you could order the designo package but it would be a waste to order that package since you are paying extra for the cl 63's already upgraded leather. The only purpose was to get the color that you wanted. Additionally, they do not have final prices or a production date. I'm told I should have the first one in jacksonville, fl. We'll see!
P.S. He thought the final price would be about $150k!!!

You are absolutely correct! I had inadvertantly interchanged the H73 Carbon-Fiber interior of the 030 performance package with the 736 Ashwood Black Finish. Sorry for the error.

20 inch wheels standard on CL 63
In the AMG brochure published by MBUSA it lists the CL63 with 20 inch wheels as standard. Not sure if this is an error or if in fact the CL63 will come with 20 inch wheels in the US. Dealer is researching to find a definitive answer.
