There's a story that the EU is considering mandatory emmision caps on cars by 2012. It's not clear whether the caps would apply to each car or to classes of cars. If the caps did go into effect, would MB defang their engines or replace them by smaller engines? Can you imagine a CL with a six-cylinder engine, the CL350?
