Question Can anyone give me some info on prices for CL 550 ECU & Headers?

Can anyone give me some info on prices for CL 550 ECU & Headers? I also would like to get some K&N air filters and illuminated doorsill panels.

The dealer's asking price of over $6,000 for the Renntech ECU & Header package is ridiculous.

Any info would help guys/girls .. thanks in advance :-)

W216 CL550 has parts already?
I can't find anything on the RENNtech website.

But in any case, you could get an easy 10% off from Euroteck Motorsports as far as RENNtech parts is concerned.

They could even make a deal so you could get a new carbon fiber airbox and Green filters as well.

Thumbs up Cool

Nice, so what do you think the horsepower/torque increase would be to do the ECU, Headers, Green filters, and CF Airbox combined?

I've been told 65 horsepower and 65 lb/ft torque increase just by doing the ECU and headers, and that it could be even more.

Now add to that better engine air filters and cf airbox, and who knows .....

I been told there are two shorty headers available for the CL 550, one in production (Renntech) and one is available (Supersprint). The gain from the combination of either two of the headers + the ecu is about 50 hp / 50 lbs of torque. Green filters or BMC filters and CF airbox will probably add another 5-10 hp max.

Cheers,

Adam

PS: I will pm you more information on the shorty headers for the 550 engine.

Thumbs up Thanks Adam, please let me know about prices too!!

I'm assuming the supersprint headers are alot cheaper than the Renntech ones, correct?

Also I'm hearing Carlsson will be out any day now with theirs.... you hear that too?

If all the header companies pretty much give approximately the same hp/tq increases, then I might as well go with the cheapest one, assuming that they are all removable like the Renntech headers are, so that I can put the stock ones back on any time I wanted to (no welding/cutting required).

Thanks again buddy for your time and information!!

Supersprint manufactures Carlsson headers. Therefore your source is accurate informing you that Carlsson headers are available. I am yet to receive an email regarding the SS headers. Hopefully i will find out tomorrow am.

I am unsure if Carlsson headers are long tubes or shortys. Might not be shortys.

Cheers,

Adam
