Tire question

My CL came with the 19 inch Conti2 tires. What kind of mileage are others getting from these and what is the preferred brand/tire for our CL's? I live in the mid-west so some days might be cold - below 30 but the streets are clear and the sun is out. I would like to be able to drive the CL on these types of days but I know the Conti2's are summer performance tires and might not be safe??? Any experience would be helpful. Thanks

I just saw your post. Looks like you decided on a CL550 instead of the CLK63 AMG BS. My wife has an CL55 AMG we bought 2 years ago and she absolutely loves it. She drives hers in the winter on sunny days but it does not have Conti2. Congrats on your new car !

Thanks, It is a beautiful GT., and I never drive that fast . I got a great deal. MB was kicking back $15K, plus the dealer discounted it by another several KKKKKKKKK. So one way to look at it is that I drove my SL550 for a year for free (got all my money back) and then they gave me $10K off the MSRP on the CL550.

Mine read tires lasted slightly over 17,000 miles (same tires as yours). I replaced both rear tires with the same for slightly over $800 for the pair installed (America's Tire)
