Bluetooth phone support question

I just upgraded from a 2006 CL500 to a 2007 CL600... Yay for me! There are a lot of differences between that one year (heh).

My CPO came with the Motorola RAZR bluetooth cradle accessory. I tried to pair my LG bluetooth phone and it appears to pair but my LG phone does not get activated with the COMAND system.

So my question is this: If I get the Mercedes bluetooth puck can I reasonably believe that my LG bluetooth phone will be supported? I checked the phone compatibility list and a close cousin is listed. It's okay even if the address book isn't downloaded/displayed as I'm mostly concerned with just being able to receive and make calls using the integrated phone controls on the steering wheel.

Thanks.

The razr cradle is for razrs it's possible that it will work but I have seen a few LG's with issues. Take it to the dealer and see if they will sync it up for you. They should be willing to test it out for you.

The manual for the RAZR cradle seems to imply that it will only work via bluetooth with Motorola phones, and then only after they are first connected via the cradle. We were not able to get my LG phone to work with it.

I ended up getting the bluetooth puck and connecting that to my car instead of the RAZR cradle. After doing so, my LG phone immediately paired via bluetooth and the car recognized it. My address book and recent/sent calls even show up in COMAND too. I'm pretty happy now!

This page shows the puck (an older model I believe, mine is silver and looks different) and has a link for a list of compatible phones: http://www.wireless4mb.com/page18/page18.html.
