2004 W215 - DB2 or MOST?

Okay, I want to start a deep dive into the digital data bus on my car and I need to know where to start. Can someone tell me definitively which data bus my car uses? I 'think' that the W215 used DB2 up until 2003 and in 2004, only the CL class got the new MOST optical network, but I am not sure.

Ultimately I would like to 'tap' into the network at the CD changer in the trunk via an optical interface to inject the video of a back up camera. Hopefully I can use a 'pass through' on the interface to continue to use the CD changer but I am willing to replace the changer with the camera. Any experience anyone has with this would be appreciated.

an 04 is the first year of MOST for the W215.

The is NO video on the fiber optic system in a Mercedes. You need a video switching unit like on our site to get video into the head unit. I think the video example for our backup camera was shot in my own W215 (2005 CL65) It is all automatic, but has nothing to do with the fiber system (only nav data, communications data and audio are on the fiber)
