Blacked Out Grill

I just blacked out my 2009 CL550 grill and smoked the tail lights.
Used vinyl and I think it came out pretty slick . Got someone in OC to do it for around $160 and I think it made a huge difference in looks.

What do you guys think?

I want to do this to my 600. Does the vinyl match 100% to the body color? How does that work?

Yes it does match. It makes a big difference with the grill and it looks like its painted.

No problem. I would say to do it yourself but its not easy. Ive seen places charge between $100 to $150 just for the grill.

I have my grill painted black also but I have the chrome trim unpainted. I only have one rock chip. The blacked out grill is a must.

Headlights? I don't think that would be good decision as far as visibility goes.

The lightest tint is not that bad. It makes it look light gray.

It would look like these headlights

MAMBA...Really like the way your grille looks!!! If only I was that bold and daring, but alas, I am old and afraid.

It's really no that complex. The chrome trims slide off. A good custom shop will know that. I think my ex gf paid $575.00 to have a shop do it. Trust me the car looks much better than the stock. I have seen a few CL 's with the grill fully black but that's not my taste.

I realized my front bumper is different than your cars, and mine has a huge chrome strip that runs across it...so I'm thinking it wouldn't look right if I blacked out the grill. Still trying to visualize it...but here's a decent pic of how it looks like...
You can see I still have fish bowl status, hahaha! Maybe I'll wait until I get new shoes on and then go from there.

You dont have the AMG sport package so the front bumper is different. The disctronic emblem with a black grill will look great actually. You could black out the chrome on the bottom part as well
