Exhaust Note
Hi everyone,
New to this forum after recently selling my RS4 and 911. Just purchased a stunning CL500 09 plate with 40k on the clock from a Mercedes dealer, from what i see it's near on fully loaded and compared to some of the cars i've had before, this one is a dream.....
I only have one very slight issue, the sounds from AMG versions are sublime and if my budget had allowed, the 6.3 would have been my choice, so, not wishing to go aftermarket in the slightest and wishing to remain 'road legal', what's my best options to gain a more throaty sound more in keeping with the AMG's?
The car does already have factory AMG bodykit and and 20" alloys....

Not sure what you mean by not wanting to go aftermarket. My CL 600 was fitted with a meisterschaft exhaust (before I purchased it), and I absolutely love the growl compared to stock cars. Here's a short youtube clip of the sound:

Sound very nice indeed, my issue will be that if i go away from a Mercedes product, i may have issues with warranty works in the future, i could be wrong as my RS4 had mods and Audi were good with claims. I wondered if there were mods that could be done to the current exhaust, or straight replacement to amg63 exhaust, air filters etc would make any difference.

Makes sense. I would ask this question on the W221 forum (S-class). The CL forum doesn't get much traffic because the cars are so rare. The cars share many of the same components, and there's lots of good advice over there. Good luck!
