Command Problems
I have just brought a 2007 CL550 that is has every possible option.
I am trying to access some of the features on the command system.
When i go to Vehicle i have very limited options.
I cant access the time, or voice control.
I used the reset feature hoping it was going to fix the problem.
Anyone know how to access these features

Sounds to me like you have a programming issue and also you need to see if you actually have voice recognition as an option. I don't think that was standard on the early 216 models except for the 600. If I am not mistaken (which I could be) you had to have the technology package to get the voice features. I might be wrong but I think I read that somewhere.

Let me tell you a story. I bought a friend a 2011 CL 550 and the car was showroom new except nothing on the sound system or anything to do with sound, such as voice, Nav., etc.. Had sound. Thankfully I bought an extended warranty when I bought the car because the day I bought the car was the exact date the car went into service four years earlier. Well, I was able to get an extended warranty for it and good thing I did. The car went to the dealership after the 1,000 mile, one month waiting period and what was wrong was the control module that controlled everything had gone bad. The cost of the part was 2,000.00 and they had one on the shelf. I was told they kept them in stock because this was a common problem part. 2,400.00 later the warranty company paid all but the deductible and off I went. So, I think that is what your issue is. My thoughts would be to go the dealer and have it diagnosed. Then ask them where it is located ( I think the trunk)and call a wrecking yard and buy one from an S or CL with that part number on it and change it out yourself for a fair and good price. It took them all of 25 minutes to R/R the part. It might have to be programmed but I'm thinking if you get an exact part it should already be programmed. Best of luck with this!! I do guarrentee only the dealer will be able to find the issue. I did take it to a shop and they checked it for free for me and it said fault open but they couldn't what it was or know how to fix it. The dealership found it in 3 minutes after plugging it into the factory system.

Damn it all to hell. What did the dealer say? You defiantly have an issue you can't ignore. Let us know what they say after you take it to the dealership. I'm hoping it's only one component and now a few.
