2011-14 CL 550 wheel size
I am going to swap my 2008 e320 for a 2011-14 CL 550.
I am interested in any comments regarding the ride characteristics of the 18, 19 and 20 inch wheels. I am concerned that the 20 inch will sacrifice ride quality versus the smaller sizes.

Not so. I just swapped a set of 18" wheels and tires from a CL550 to the optional 20" wheels and tires (using the Michelin SS tires) and there is "NO" difference in ride quality at all, it also handles much better.
