front strut removal problem
I am having a problem removing the bottom of the strut from the lower control arm. Can anyone recommend what to do? I have followed the directions for the Arnott replacement and am stuck. Thank you.

Thank you for your response. I was replacing a front strut. The problem was separating the strut ball joint from the lower control arm. Needed a tie rod ball joint separator. The Arnott instructions do not tell you this and I did not find any video from Arnott for the W216. The instructions simply say to separate the ball joint from the lower control arm. The W221 video has a different mount at the bottom of the strut. I had to reattach the bad strut to drive to Meineke and have them remove the OEM strut and replace with the Arnott strut. They charged $220.00.
