2009 CL550 Glove Compartment DOOR HINGE
My glove compartment door hinge seems to have broken somehow, even though I can't figure out when that happened. The part that's fixed to the dashboard seems intact, but the little hinge shaft that presumably goes through it must have either fallen out or broken inside the door.
Looking at the WIS, there's no procedure for removing JUST the door, only the complete glove box removal from the car.
On a different note, the door alone is a separate part in EPC, so there must be a way to remove it from the remainder of the glove box. The door looks like it's made out of two halves, one hast that soft velvet material that lines the inside of the glove compartment and the other half is lined with leather.
Is there a way to separate the two? I saw no screws holding the door itself together, and I'm a little too scared to try and pry it open using nothing but force.
Any experiences with this?
