2008 CL550 Disabling/Removing TPMS

Hi Guys,

Currently have the tire light on the dash for TPMS. I have my doubts about installed sensors, so I hooked car up to STAR.

Found none of the antennas are receiving a signal. Instead of replacing parts, how can I just code out TPMS all together?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Not a good idea to disable-- Get the system repaired. It is very difficult to tell visually that low profile tires used on our vehicles are low on air. A slow leak caused by a nail is not obvious. extremely low pressure can easily lead to a blow-out and if you are fortunate no bodily damage and only minor damage to your vehicle. This is the reason the TPMS is required by law. Did this problem suddenly appear? Could the wheels have been replaced with new ones without TPMS sensors?

after replacement it takes a while for the sensors to appear functioning, like 20-30 mins of driving. Also sensors should be coded to the correct frequency/coding scheme for the mercedes. This is possible to read with special scanners for the tpms sensors.
