Strut question
I posted this elsewhere, but also asking here. My old W221 (S Class) struts could simply be replaced by one's local mechanic. Are CL struts the same way or must they be calibrated and gotten only at MB dealership?
I have a 2012 and dlr. says special order and about $1800+ to replace one. Plus, the car has only 42000 miles on it, so the need even gnaws at me. Are the CL's (essentially same platform as S-550's that era) different and take a "special" strut? Thank you.
