Need help on 2011 CL550

im getting a vibration in the front suspension that comes and go every 2 seconds once I get 55mph or better I’ve had the balance done several times but it’s not that, had all control arms checked, ball joints, all good, any suggestions. Ps also notice my rear left side of the car is a 1/4 inch lower than the right side, I have no leaks (been like that for months) please help.

2009 cl550 4matic
Hi Laffy and welcome. I'm no expert at this but do own an 09 CL550 4Matic. Is yours 4Matic and so air suspension rather than rear wheel drive and so hydraulic? I think all 09s and beyond were 4Matic/Airmatic but just checking. Just off the top - tires? out of round wheel? but it sounds like you've already checked those things. What diameter rims and size tires? OEM? aftermarket?

Pics are great!

Nice ride - like a ghost in the night...
Somebody more knowledgeable may respond. You could also try over in the CL AMG forum.

On my S550, I had a vibration at around that speed for years. It turned out to be the drive shaft. MB had to diagnose this problem. the balance was off and only noticeable at higher speeds.

Check your owners manual, but I’m fairly certain no 4Matic ever leaves the factory with different tire/wheel sizes front-rear, and yours probably didn’t either ... nor do I think your owners manual will list this as permitted. With 4Matic, this is the same thing as different size tires right/left on an axle with a differential.

Recently put the original tire/wheels back on but I haven’t drove at high speeds yet to get the true feel of it, will keep you posted. Thx for the info
