I was interested in purchasing a 2007 CL 550 with higher mileage and I was wondering, what are common issues in these cars, and how's reliability?

Air bladders in front seats may have failed which prevents some of the seat adjustments and massage function. This can be several thousand dollars to repair.

There is a weak timing chain gear that failed on some vehicles at lower mileage. If your vehicle has high mileage, it is probably not going to be a problem.

GPS map data revisions ceased a couple of years ago, no further updates are planned.

Tires can be expensive and may last only 15000 miles in rear. Front tires last longer.

Reliability is generally very good. This car has much in common with the S550 (same electronics, engine, transmission, etc) and has similar reliability. Look at the S550 forum for further info.

Reliability is quite good. Comfortable, powerful and timeless styling. I love mine.
