I need info on flashing the instrument cluster on a CL600 2007 W216. I am purchasing from a Canadian Citizen here in the USA. I have a letter from MB USA saying the car is the same as USA for import but the cluster needs reflash to bring it from KM to Mi.. How do I do this with my Star Diag with Xentry ,or must this be done at the dealer

I am not certain how it works on your 2007 W216, on the 2001 W215 you go in your steering wheel, go to "Settings", look for the km/Miles setting - I believe it should also be shown in your lengthy handbook - the Canadian Version is also in English - not only French -

Thanx Calgary , I already gave that a shot. on 2007 and up it only gives an additional speedo in MPH next to the main KM speedo . I have tried to get in thru my SDS with Xentry . I can flash the IC but it just keeps coming back with KM speedo. I was wondering about some of those special items in Xentry that are in german only If anyone has translated those? So for not making US Customs and border patrol or EPA , DOT/NHTSA Happy ...........................

Maybe a used IC from a auction site they are very cheap $80-$150 range and there is a boatload of them. I can code it using my settings from the old unit...............Hopefully it won't revert to KM.
