The aux battery died on my CL550 (2011) and I need to replace it.

Any idea where it is? and any help with part number before I go search it and probably get it wrong? LOL.

Thanks!

For the "additional battery" WIS says it's behind the left (driver's side North America) side of the instrument panel. Do you have ECO start/stop? Best to post your VIN.

no eco start stop. That location does not sound very easy to get to... hmm... I sure hope the inst panel doesn't have to be removed? It took away features like distronic cruise etc.

Here is my vin WDDEJ9EB5BA027473

Did you find it? Supposedly I have a battery under the hood for starting purposes and 1 in the trunk according to my local tech.

Go through the back trunk and it's on the rear passenger side right behind the wall . Find a tab uptop or the sides (or grab the fuzz of the carpet) and pull straight back.

That's where it is on my 08 cl600.

Anyone figure out the back drivers side window not coming down or up? Besides the $525 bill at the dealer ship?

The panel is tight and so very difficult to remove, after I finally managed to get my panel out to get at the battery, I fitted a handle to the panel, to make it a bit easier to remove.
I had the same problem with the rear window not working, turned out to be a window control module, cost was £375 for a refurbished one including fitting.

At some point in W216/W221 production the aux battery location was changed from trunk to behind dash.

Mercedes have two batteries to attempt to ensure you will always be able to shift transmission out of Park.
