2007 CL550 drivers window dance
Hello everyone
I am new to the forum and have a question.
My CL550 quit doing the little window dance it
does on the drivers side when you open the door.
the front and rear window now rest about a quarter
of an inch below the seal and the front wont operate at all.
I presumed after doing a forum search that it
required a software flash.
When I took it to the dealer, they performed a quick
test, then condemned the window module.
My factory trained regular mechanic hooked it up
to his computer and verified the fault code and the
tech bulletin information coincides.
He said the quick test, only involves reading the
Error code, which he just performed .
Am I missing something here, or did the dealer not
perform the software flash specified by MB.

I can't speak for your dealer as there are as many crappy ones as there are good ones, but a similar thing happened on my '07 CL600, only the window would not drop. Took it to my dealer, they checked the code and recoded the window so all works fine now.
