Possible fix for the "device unavailable" message
I read the forum that the message "device unavailable" is common for the s-class w221 owners and is not fun, as i experienced.
It happened when played for more then few minutes with the entertainment system without engine running. It came together with blank rear view camera and the fix was to disconnect and connect back the optical socket at the bottom of the Harmon Kardon amp. Next was to replace the battery as it had a strange behavior. Now all is fine, but i still have the fault "wake-up line short circuit to ground", which is inside the amp. Fingers cross it will run for longer.
