Hey Guys CL63 AC problems !!!

I own a 2012 CL63, approx 55k miles on it, for last 8 months car has been having issues with AC. Every time it rains AC messes up, you could hear it go on and off but no cold air, and if you drive for longer time then it’s starts blowing hot engine air.

MB dealer fixed it twice so far, but issue keeps coming back every 3-4 months or whenever it rains heavy.

By the way dealing with Florida weather lol, has anyone gone through similar problem or does anyone know the issue.

I have owned lots of Mercedes models but never had a issue like this before.

also the center console between seats where hazard light switch is also stops working with AC, when It’s bright and sunny AC starts working fine again and so does center console switches.

My service coordinator is also surprised with this issue and has no answer for it.

If they fixed it twice, then start by telling what exactly they did those 2 times
looks like water activating a short on a sensor or module

I had this problem in my W221 and i know the W216 has the same parts. Effectively what was happening me me was what you described and somethings if i would hit a bump right it would kick on randomly. It ended up being the ac blower that was under your glove box. I was told it was either that or the replay but i decided to do the blower first and that’s worked. I noticed what i took it out it was pretty dirty and slight rushed and you could see moisture in there. Hope that’s help and the blower on Amazon was like 150 bucks.
