I have a 2013 CLS 4Matic. During the recent gas shortage, we didn't have high octane gas in the area so my wife filled it with 87 octane. Since then, it struggles when accelerating. I have seen similar issues like this before in other American cars that I have owned and have found that replacing the fuel filter tends to alleviate the issue. I understand that the fuel filter is part of the fuel pump assembly. From what I can tell, it makes sense to replace the whole assembly vs just the filter. I found the access panel under the rear passenger seat and it looks like it could be easily swapped out. Is there only one fuel pump/filter on this car? I'm a bit confused as I have seen parts labeled for left and right. And, from the description of the issue, do you feel this will resolve the problem?
