Has anyone installed a USB outlet in the console?

Im looking to convert my cig lighter to a USB port. Hopefully someone responds.

 

I just had a local car stereo place install a USB outlet under the armrest for just $155.

 

Nice. Got any photos? I’m thinking of doing the cig lighter but the center console seems better. Id like to do it myself though.

 

I just put a shallow USB in the cigarette lighter plug in spot...works fine and super easy solution. Has 2 USB slots, btw.

 

A picture wouldnt show much. Its a USB outlet mounted on the gearshift side of the storage area below armrest. I didnt use the cig lighter outlet, because I personally rather keep that closed and didnt want a wire from there.
