CL550 ABC Pump Question

This questions is for a CL550 2007 .

Hey all new here. Well been lurking trying to learn. So I just did the Strutmaster coilovers because my ABC system just majorly failed. So I had a question. We got the coilovers in but now a hose failed and it's leaking pretty bad what happens if you run the ABC part of the pump without fluid in it for one. Will the power steering still work or will the whole pump go?

Second question what power steering pump can I use to replace this pump entirely? I am looking at this one will that work and will it need other mods to work? https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...350/20710729-P It says its a direct replacement.

Thanks for any help I really want to get back to enjoying and driving my car

I don't know the answers to your 2 questions, but you might want to source your parts from somewhere other than Advance. Try Rock Auto or FCP Euro, as they have a lot more experience matching up the right parts. I wouldn't trust Advance to steer me to the correct products....they are probably better for me buying parts for my daughter's Ford Fusion.

thanks I will look there I know FCP is a great source. I think for now I am going to just do a bypass. I found that in the forum.
