2012 CL 550
Front control arm replacement

I need to replace lower control arms on my 2012 CL550. I am wondering if and how to take the pressure out of the air strut before disconnecting it. I can't find a youtube video with the right configurate. I replaced the air strut on one side - if failed so no pressure (by the way, buy rebuilt Arnott strut from Rock Auto for $600ish rather than 8 or 9 from Pelican parts or $like $1300 from the dealer for new!).

I replaced the front control arm - not too hard - but don't know what will happen if the strut has pressure and I pop the joint - don't want it to over extend or whatever! I don't know if just disconnecting the air line will do it.

Anyone have experience here?

Thanks!
