When you take into account the weight difference (close to a ton!), luxury, high speed stability, safety, workmanship, etc.. the CL65 is a SIGNIFICANTLY better car.

True... but I can think of a half dozen cars that can do what the vette does. I can't think of one other super luxury automobile that can do what the CL65 does.

Besides the Viper, please do tell me what cars can do what the Vette does.
Even regardless of the fact that it costs 69k, you really have to look up to see where you can find competition for the performance value.
And I do understand that the CL65 is a much "better" car. I mean its built like a tank, is one of the best looking Benzs ever and is as subtle as any other Mercedes out there basically. The Vette is a Corvette, the ultimate Corvette at that. I think the package as a whole deserves a little more respect than that too.
Oh well... different cars make things interesting you could say.

All I am saying is that there are other cars that are fast. Steve Saleen has Mustangs that run that fast. Dodge Vipers are very close. A Lotus Exige is pretty much there. I had an HKS-built Toyota Supra Turbo that ran close to those numbers. We can see here the 65 outran it in a straight line.
My point was just that the CL65 is very good at TWO things (speed and luxury to a very high degree), whereas the Vette is very good at one (speed).
It just seems to me like there are more cars than can do what the Vette does than there are cars than can do what the 65 does.
