Yes, it is much more like a 6 than a 3 series....but that isn't saying much. 6's are 70k....CL's are 100k. Big difference. That is a 6 and 3 for a CL. BMW interiors are not even in the same area code as the CL interior.

Why do you say im a M3 lover? I dont even own an M3. All i was saying is that the M3 is not a "Motel 6" like AMG2GO said it was.

I am not going to speak for everyone, but I live in Boston where the M3 is the car of choice for every spoiled boy racer student that attends college here and has daddy buy them a car they can never appreciate. They are the most dangerous, most obnoxious drivers on the road, and all think that car is the coolest thing ever made. I have never been turned off by a group of owners as I am by M3 owners, mainly because of their driving habits.

That's just my experience here, and I am not saying it applies to everyone. Obviously the car is a good car and has made C&D's 10 best list many years in a row. Its just not a good car to compare to a CL. And I agree with MJR24 because I don't even think the 6 is as good as a CL, let alone the 3. I test drove 3 different versions of a 6, 3 times, and then bought a USED CL600 for more money than I could have bought a brand new 645ci for.

I am not saying the M3 is a bad car its just not a good street car its made for the track.
I agree, the m3 is fun but a little impractical there bumpy the smg shift isn't very smooth and theres a new model due soon.

personaly I would go with the the c55 I would imagine it would be a more practical car although I have never driven one so I dont realy know for sure but all I can say is most merc sports seem very smooth and liveable, although bare in mind theres a new c in 2007!

p.s I also reckon the clk would be a very good choice.

I know a lot of time has passed, but wow, the M3 is a piece of crap. It ius worthless in everyway and it will never EVER come close to a CL, not even a CL from the 1980s. That care is built like a Toyota, and right now that car is cheaper than some Toyotas. Give me a break, and never compare a BMW to a Mercedes, especially an AMG.
Keep in mind, M is 1/3 of AMG.
