Smile New Guy Here!

Hello everyone. New to the board. I have a black/black '04 CL55.

I can't for the life of me find my owners manual (I think my kid somehow managed to take it out of the glovebox and lose it amongst her school books! ) and I have a rather dumb question...well make that two of them. 1. Besides the dealership, can I find anywhere that carrys them in stock. The dealership told me it would take three weeks to come in after ordering?
2. My sideview mirrors used to fold in automatically when I turned the alarm on. I must have hit a button somewhere accidentally to turn this option off. I have fiddled with just about every button in the car to get it to turn back on. Can someone please tell me how to reactivate this?

Thanks all.

As for the mirrors, the setting is accessed via the MFD (Multi Function Display) on the dash. Use the steering wheel buttons to find the option in the menu. Set it to ON. I think its under convenience features and is called "Folding Mirrors".

As for the owners manual/brochure, I was able to call the 1800 number for Mercedes and I received it in the mail in a week or so. Worst case sceniro(sp), they may quiz you and ask you numerous questions and ask if you'd like to on their mailing list or added to their file.

I was told that when I leased my car, if I lost all that stuff, there would be a $500 replacement fee.

Anyone else ever hear of that?

No, I haven't. I did what CakeDaddy recommended and called the 1-800 number and ordered them over the phone. It cost about $40 to replace the owner's manual and all the paperwork, and have it mailed to me in about 5-7 days.
