Pedals look great. I bought a set from my local MB dealer. Having a hard time installing the brake pedal. I get three corners of the replacement pad around the bare metal pedal and cannot seat the pad down on the fourth corner. Extremely tight...do I need any special tool? I also looked at the stock accelerator pedal and how do I remove that plastic pin? Looks as though it has some type of metal fastener clamped on right side. Thanks for your help on this!

ok, i finally had the time and motivation to install them and i

thought i crapped myself trying to get the brake pedal on. i couldn't get the gas pedal on. need help. my pin won't come out and at the same time i don't want to break it. even after i do remove it, how do i slip the new one on? the opening at the rubber base is not wide enough to slide past the 'wedge' with the pin hole

it is really not that hard...

either pull the pin or push it out for the other end

the new pedal will fit just fine, the rubber base stretches enough to get it past the pin hole...

just installed it this am after i leatheriqued the whole interior (used almost 16oz of rejuvenator oil). the process took about 10mins. the small parking break is definitely the hardest one to do. the regular break is easiest. used small flat screwdriver to "round out" the rubber around the metal part. the small pin that holds the gas padle is the self retaining type. used a small plier to pinch the other end and push it in alittle and then you can easily pull it out. then pry open the small round cover on the bottom and un-bolt the nut and pick up the washer with a magnet or small plier. the whole gas padal assembly can then be pulled out. flip it and you will notice a small black rectangle plastic with two prongs that is holding the old gas padal in. remove it by pulling it straight out and replace the the old one with your new metal one and put them all back. it sounds more difficult than it actually is. phat-ho, if you are having trouble, pm me and i can install it for you.

Nice. And you vacuumed too!

Say, will these pedals also fit the S55? My guess is yes since the S and CL pedals must match, but can anyone confirm or deny?

the person i spoke with says they're in atlanta so i got really happy and wanted to pick them up on my way home from work. from what he was telling me it is next to enterprise (literally right down the street from where i work). but they just shipped the package before i could call and ask where my pedals were. maybe i'll stop by someday.

that's great to know. they have great prices and now i can just pick them up. how is the installation coming? it's such a cheap and nice mod. i just installed sprint booster for the cl. the throttle response for low speed is much better now. you should check it out.
