Welcome to Chicago! We just had 2 meets in Schaumburg, I think one of the first for the chicago members of the forum. Here's the link:

You are welcome to attend the next one - time is not set yet, probably somtime in September.

Jeff, I'll PM you when we'll decide on the date. BTW, congrats on the car - all that HP and torque to play with! CL is one of my all time favorites as far as style goes. Have you thought about CL55?
Take care!

never thought about that because you cant do much to it. a pulley and ecu on that car yields something like 55 hp. if i were to chip the car, i would see 132hp and 155 lb torque instantly. I was told that sport cats would give it another 80lbs/ft. the cl55 is nice, but nothing beats a turbo car if you want to "mess" with it after you get it.

Owning my first V8 car now I'm hooked on power and torque. The only problem is with my engine (N/A amg V8) i can't do much to mod it to gain considerable amnt of hp/trq without going to supercharger, but then i might as well consider E55/SL55/CL55. But then again, amg is going to N/A 6.2L engine for now and thus story never ends! It's possible that amg will be adding turbocharger to new 6.2L but that's probably another 2 years away. So it seems that V12 is an excellent alternative to "wait and see what else amg will do with their V8 engine" - massive loads of torque and HP plus easy way to mod it. Never experienced V12 before, how does it feel? I'm nursing a crazy idea of getting 2-3 years old SL65/CL65 in a couple of years as an ultimate powerhouse.
How's Chicago treating you so far?
