2003 CL55 AMG

That is an awesome price for your car as described. I live in Southern California and bought a 2003 CL55 AMG in May, 2006 from an original owner with 4900 miles on it. It was brand new, a flawless specimen with every option made that year including Distronic, Parktronic, Voice Command System, Hands Free phone system with cradle, Electronic Trunk Closer, Keyless Go, Clear Bra, Silver/Charcoal, all keys, brochures, and Certified Mercedes warranty through May, 2010. I paid $76,000 which was low Kelly Blue Book. Car stickered at $130,000 so I thought I did OK. Your car sounds nice and it would command a higher price on the West Coast, especially in Southern Cal. The higher mileage at 60,000 will bring the price down but 40k is a complete steal!!! You should list your car on www.autotrader.com also for exposure. Good luck!

The auction on Ebay has NO RESERVE. It will be sold to the high bidder. The price currently is at $44,900 with a few days left in the auction. I have an offer of $47,500, but did not take it. I am looking to get around $51,000, but will settle for less. See it on ebay at ... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=270022040701

come on! you have to get more than $51k. this is a 03 cl55 amg we are talking about right?!? this ain't no stinking m3 here. it will be a very sad day when a 3yr turbo v8 amg mb with 500 ponies sold for less than half of the purchase price. i hope you get at least $60k for it but it's probably dreaming. i hope your finacial problems resolve itself and you don't have to sell it. good luck.

These CL's are taking a beating. My '04 CL55 keeps getting a trade-in value of $57k - $60k at the dealers (MB, Aston Martin, Carmax). Manheim auto auction tells the story, these cars are depreciating faster than you can pay on them. He'll be lucky to get $51k unfortunately. I hope he does get that and more since I know he needs it, but I wouldn't hold out too much hope (especially if he needs it quick).
It's sad for such a beautiful car.

Yea, dont you just hate it when MB's depreciate so fast? I just dont get why also.....and if your talking about a stinkin M3...hell...they hold their values so much better..no offence....just for some reason i dont get....why does BMW M hold their value better than AMGs...????

MBWorld Fanatic!
It has nothing to do with AMG. It is the fact a new CL will be out in 6 months. They are going through nothing different than the W220 S-class did this time last year. The M3 still does not have a new one out yet.....I haven't even heard when they are coming out why is probably why they haven't depreciated as much. Even those though can be had for in the $20's range.
The SL55 is a good example...those have hardly depreciated...you won't find even a 2003 for less than $70k. Even the normal SL held it's value very well and is just now starting to get into the 50's for the 2003. I thought about the SL55 but didn't think the extra $$ was justified as the only difference is 300 HP versus 490 HP...everything else is exactly the same assuming you get the SL with the sports package. The CL55 is definately a buy for in the 50's....but there is a reason it's in that range and it will only go down. I would bet they are in the 40's this time next year for 20-30k miles.

I traded in my 2003 CL55 about 6 months ago, and only got $55K for it! I am in So Cal, and my car only had 19K miles. I was first owner, and I paid $10K over when I bought it. Mine was one of the first 03 CL55's in the country.
Within weeks of buying it, I had an offer of $140K for. Those were the good ol' days. If you get anywhere near $50K for it, consider youself lucky!
I can always be worse, you could own one of the earlier non-supercharged ones. Those are getting really hammered! Good luck!

2005 E55, 2004 E55(sold), 2001 Viper GTS, 2006 Viper VOI9, 1994 ZR-1 Corvette 2009 Viper ACR,
I tried leasing a used 2003 CL55 last year. Selling price was $58k, which I thought I was "stealing" it for that. Only had 23k miles...
This was the only "AMG" car the bank would not lease... I guess this is why..

I have a 2003 Mercedes-Benz CL55 Kompressor 5.5L V8 supercharged w/ 493 horsepower. It has a silver exterior and black interior. Options such as, navigation, parking sensors, pulsating seats, dual spoke wheels, and more. It has about 60,000 miles. The vehicle is in showroom condition both inside and out. It runs like brand new and I can offer a 30 day warranty for your peace of mind. I currently have it on ebay for about $40,000. Anyone sell or buy one in the past few months? Maybe trade-in? What are they going for. Thank you in advance for you help. Item #: 270022040701

And really it is a car dealer. Go to e-bay and he has lots of cars for sale. Why do moderators allow this complete misuse of the forum for trade selling purposes???
