The Best of Mercedes & AMG
The car is RHD, as many of you have seen and cost me £105,000. The F1 thing relates to the fact it is the only one with a tiptronic gearshift behind the steering wheel as well as its connections as a F1 safety car (the F1 logo can be seen on the side of the car in the F1 grand prixs).
The suggestions that I took the pictures from a dealer website are absolutely proposterous, especially as it is one of only 8 RHD versions ever to be made! Besides that, even if it were from a dealer website what would it be doing in my drive??!! and how would I have lifted it from the page as it would have been in Flash format?
I am not sure what you mean with the F1 pointed style nose.
This steering wheel is indeed not from the other CL's, but is, nevertheless a leather, hand stiched AMG one that I'm sure has some difference compared to the E class one. The reason for not using the usual CL wheel is that the carbon fibre trim would not compliment the wooden steering wheel (there is not a carbon fibre version, only wooden ones).
I would be happy to answer any more questions and don't forget to look at the other pics @: https://mbworld.org/forums/sh...4013#post144013
thanks

Look at the CL55 F1 about 3 cars down that page.
AND, the CL55 F1 DOES NOT have the F1 paddle shifters.

Timster, you stole my avatar, lol! I don't mind though, i've been meaning to make my avatar red to reflect the Magma Red on my C32.
I have few other pic's but there not small enough for Avatars. I will change it when I find something small enough.
What is it they they say, the biggest complement some one can give is imitation?
Tim
By the way the Cl55 AMG 'F1' does have paddle gear shifts, but not the ordinary CL55!!!

Who tells you this information ? The CL55 F1 DID NOT have paddle shifters. The 2003 CL55 will have them however.
The CL55 F1 was a special edition vehicle to help showcase the DTM F1 series.
Shoot an email off to MB Germany. They will be happy to provide you with all the information you could read on the CL55 F1.

I wonder if I visited London, whether I'd even be able to drive like that!
