After market warranty
The following info is a public service announcement made in the interest of future searchers (in case anybody actually searches).
I just bought a 7 yr / 100k mile exclusionary warranty on my '03 CL55 for $2,600 with a $50 deductible. Of course you only get the balance of the 7yr 100 from your in-service date.

I got a price of $4,100 from autowarrantybroker.com for similar coverage but the cost difference is just too great. I had a policy from AWB on my 911TT and it paid off very nicely but they stopped writing on the 55's in January when the policy was $2,300 and just started writing it again at $4,100.

CLK55 AMG
How has this warranty been working out? I just bought an '04 AMG and am finding myself in a similar position. This is one of the warranties I have been considering as they are one of the few that will accept AMG cars.

I don't know, I haven't had to use it.
The seller says you take the car to your MB dealer and they fix it ... time will tell.
I'm under the impression that AWB is writing on AMG's again. I had an excellent experience with them and a 911 turbo.
