Is this limp mode?
Basically, my friend has a cl 55 amg and when he does something out of the ordinary such as flooring it.... The car after drives sluggishly and the only way to get rid of it is by reseting the car...

what year is the car . . . i jus got rid of my 2002 cl 55 and it would do the same thing so i took it to get fixed at the dealer. Tell him to take the car there and tell the service people about it. If its under 50,000 miles it should be under warrenty
