. The tech told me it is something minor with computer and they are waiting for an updated part from Germany so the car has been in the shop for over a week. I guess you have to take the good with the bad on these $190K cars
.Put me 1st on the list to buy your CL65 in 2011
. I can't wait for the pictures!!! That is definitely the ultimate Benz. Let me know when you get it.Larry

I'm an MD (Anesthesiologist).
I got rid of my SL600 last November because wifey got pregnant. I really miss that car but my recent purchase of a CL65 makes it easy to move on.
Thanks for the kind words!

As for the CL65, its an uber-classy ride. Congrat's on the wife being pregnant. My wife and I have a 2 month old son, its really great.. He's like my lil' research project in behavioral development.

I had my daughter last October and sold the car one month later in November. She is now a little over 10 months old so I know what you are going through now!!!
Good luck with residency. It doesn't always suck just most of the time!!

You don't have any old Versed lying around that you want to get rid of, do you?
Just kidding!
Awesome car and awesome color. Its great that you can get a 65 for around $80K now.

I agree. I still can't believe how much this car dropped in price. It really is an amazing car. IMO I can't believe anyone would buy a new car for $80-90K when you can find the CL's for such a bargin. The look and ride comfort is top notch. Again, just my opinion.

The CL is a much superior car IMHO. I started out on my Mercedes-Benz adventure with a 2003 CL55. I've since had a 2005 SL600, 2006 S65, and finally I came back to the CL. To me the CL is the best balance. I loved the SL for the look and convertible but here are the negatives. Have you ever had a convertible? In the summer it is way too hot to ride with the top down so you end up not using the convertible as much as you would think. Plus get ready for tons of car exhaust in your face. The stereo and radio sux in the SL. The car is very low to the ground and not very comfortable to get in and out of. The interior space feels fine at first but if you are tall it gets tight as you drive for a while. I always missed the pneumatic doors and folding mirrors of the CL. SL does not have these features. The SL is so front heavy it doesn't handle that great. The CL feels definitely more comfortable for day to day driving and handles tighter. Just my opinion. Good luck with the decision.
Despite the validity of all the points that you mention, I just may have to scratch that SL55 itch pretty soon!

2 and a half months later and I had to come back and read your words because I drove an '06 SL55 today that was really nice. Too bad they were 10k off on my car or it would have been over.

How come you're not in jail? You stole the car for that price. Great find.

. Thanks. I looked almost 4 months for a good deal and a car in good condition. You can't believe how many CL65's I've seen that have been abused during my quest.I'll tell you that the CL65 has even dropped lower in price since I bought mine. I know it depreciates every day but auction prices are down to the high 60'sK to low 70'sK with reasonable mileage. Oh well
. I'm very happy with this car so far. I just ordered 20" all chrome wheels from 360 Forged. I'll post pictures after I get them installed. Take care.Larry
It's 2025 how's your Benz doin so far?
