My CL63 has been built
I'm happy to report that my CL63 has been built, has had a VIN assigned and is at the port, waiting to be loaded on the transport ship. According to my friends MBZFAN and my contact at MB (thanks to MBZFAN) I can use the VIN to track its progress over the Atlantic. Just like our fellow forum member, Nevada Jack, I'll be providing updates as I get them. I simply can't wait
.

On the ship
I'm told that the car is on a Maersk line ship headed for Jacksonville, with a port due date of October 2nd. We're getting closer.

Ship docks tomorrow
Hello, everyone.
We're getting close. The ship on which my 63 is traveling docks tomorrow in Jacksonville. I'm told it will be about 7-10 days thereafter before the car arrives at the dealer.

The car reached the port a little later than expected, but is in the VPC. I expect it sometime this week or next.

The eagle has landed
Hello, everyone:
I picked up the CL63 yesterday evening (too late for pics), and spent the day at the AMG Graduate course at the Homestead speedway today, where they pulled out a CL63 for me to drive on the long track course. This was not part of the program, as I was told the car's mass was too much for most to reign in on the track, and they were trying to protect the brakes. One can feel the weight, but it's not a cow. There's enough thrust to get you going and brakes to stop your momentum very nicely. Ultimate luxury with lots of power...a wonderful combination. I'll post pics as soon as I'm able.
