Just wanted to post a note on my experiences with the BMW version of the bluetooth puck. This is the device that you install in cars that came from the factory with a car kit and a Motorola V60 phone. The puck is V60 shaped so it plugs into the cradle in place of the original phone. I had been hesitant to buy the MB version as it seemed it was only compatible with Motorola phones and it was a bit pricey (no surprise of course). When I read the BMW module is the same I found one on eBay for $190 delivered so I thought I would give it a try. Here's what I have found so far;
1. It works! No hassles at all, just plugged it in, paired my phone and that was it.
2. It works with my Blackberry Curve 8300 with no problems. I haven't tried any other phone yet but I have a HTC S620 (aka Tmobile Dash) that I will try soon.
3. Phone book syncs up quite nicely but is limited to 500 numbers. That's 500 hundred numbers not contacts. I have close to 500 contacts so it only stores up to S.
4. There is a high pitched sound that comes from the speakers whenever I am on a call. It is quite noticeable but not a problem. Probably a shielding thing. If you have any ideas, let me know.
Otherwise I am a happy MB'er. Sounds great and works very smoothly. Let me know if you have questions.
