Hi,
My friend recently purchased an '03 CL55. Its been great and also a blast to drive. Just recently though, it has not been pulling consistently. He will hit it once, and it will throw you back in your seat, then after a second run, it just doesn't accelerate hard at all. Has anyone had any similar symptoms? or have any ideas of what could be wrong? I tried searching, but couldn't really find much, and also didn't know what to search for. Just trying to help out a friend, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Moose, you must be really bad at the internet ... it's the intercooler pump. AKA, charge air pump. It happens to all the 55k engines. Not a big deal, maybe 120 for the pump and 150 for labor ... an easy DIY.
Replace it with the Johnson pump and all the performance issues will magically disappear.
Tell us about the performance of your M6. Any mods?

Thanks, I'll make sure to tell him. Question. Do you guys happen to have straight pipes for an '03 CL55? And is there even such thing? We have both searched and just couldn't find anything on straight pipes for CL55's.
