BAS release switch CL55AMG
My CL55amg (2002) has travelled 40,000kms. I have had the BAS/ESP light come on intermittently for the past month. It was in for a service today and I have been advised that the BAS release switch is faulty, and that a whole new brake booster unit is needed - they quoted $2900 for the repair. As I have had problems with this Benz dealer in the past I told them to hold off. Are there any other possibilities for this fault. Surely a brake booster should last more than 40,000k's. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

SOUNDS LIKE SOME BAD NEWS, I HAVE SEEN THE BAS release switch GO OUT ON NEW CARS, AND THE ONLY AWAY TO REPLACE IT IS TO REPLACE THE BOOSTER. MAN UP AND REPLACE IT YOU HAVE AN AMG NOT A HONDA TAKE CARE OF YOUR CAR AND IT WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU:
