ABC slumped and bottomed to one side

The CL has been garaged this winter and has not been driven or started for a few weeks. The other day I found the CL suspension slumped all the way down but more to the passanger rear side where it was completely slamed.

I quickly started the car and nothing happened. I pressed the ABC button to one light and the car quickly leveled out jumping up to the raised position. I took it for a quick drive around the block and then pressed the ABC button lowing the car back to the lower position.

It seems to be fine now and I dont see any fluid on the floor. Is this normal for or do I have a problem?

If you stored it that long without touching it it might be normal. In that time all the pressure can get out of the system lowering it to the floor.

You'll find out soon enough if something is wrong. As long as no ABC-malfunction Visit Workshop messages appear in the dash, or the car starts leaning after a few days nothing is wrong.

If you want to make sure have the workplace read-out any possible errors via Star Diagnose the next time you take it in for service.

My car does this also. Its an ABC problem but it doesn't

seem too major. It really is quite annoying to me though. If I sit in the car for a little bit at idle it will sit to one side noticeably. It does level out though when you start to move again.

Have not seen any malfuction message and the car seems to be fine. I guess the the hydraulic / air system releases after a certain amount of time when not in use. I will make sure that I start the car frequently.

Does anyone know if this is happening to the S/63/65 as well?

I had this experience last year. I drive an 02 cl500. The mechanic described my car as a "bucking horse." I didn't realize how dangerous it was. I paid over $1500 to have it fixed, then I found out that MB issued a recall. MB refused to reimburse me, they said that the part that I had repaired was not the part that was recalled - how convenient? The long and short - go the recall route - it will be cheaper.
