Another CL65 in Rockville MD

I was getting off on Shady Grove Rd last night from I270. I noticed that the car behind me (from the headlights) was another CL (W215). I tried slowing down and getting in the right lane to let him pass to see which model. Instead he tucked in behind me. I made a right onto Gaither Rd...he put on his signal and followed. I slowed down in the right lane and finally he passed. It was another CL65..except silver...I was practically jumping up and down with excitement...saying "no way". I rolled down my window to say "hi" but the driver was too engrossed in conversation with his passenger. He then made the next left. I kept going straight. I would have loved to chat with another owner...but I don't think he was as "passionate" about his car as I am. Maybe I am wrong...and maybe he frequents this board....

Tom, I hear you, I feel lonely all up here as well. lol! Wish there were more 65s to chat with. At least you have one good coach up there (Jay). He knows the w215 upside down. lol!!

Soon I will visit you and Jay, we will have a little BBQ, lol!

I would be really surprised if 10% of 65 series owners would frequent any enthusiast sites.
To most of them it's just an appliance and they bought it because it was the most expensive Benz....

I know.....I think it is that way even with other high-end cars....there are some who actually resent seeing another car like theirs...like "darn it...I thought my car was more exclusive!!!"
