Input on an aftermarket warranty for CL55
I have been actively searching for a good example of a CL500 primarily and then came across a CL55 that is priced very well ( I think), 2003 with 44k miles, asking $34,000. One owner car and appears to be in fantastic shape.
The dealer offers a lifetime warranty on powertrain in this price. Now I know that these warranties have tons of disclaimers, but I'm listing the warranty coverage below. I'd love to get anybody's thoughts on what's MISSING that I should really be aware of. Keep in mind, this is just powertrain, not electronics, etc. But I'm thinking this might be good with the AMG engine.
Engine: Cylinder Block and all internal parts;cylinder head assemblies;head gasket;timing case,chain,belt and sprockets;harmonic balancer;oil pump;turbocharger housing and all internal parts;turbocharger wastegate actuator.
Transmission:case and all internal parts;torque convertor;drive plate;flex plate;flywheel;bell housing;transaxle case or rear axle housings and all internal parts;drive shaft and all internal parts;drive shaft and axle shaft assemblies and their housings;axle shaft bearings;driveshaft center bearings,constant velocity joints;boot;universal joints and yokes.
Four Wheel drive/All wheel Drive:transfer case/Power transfer unit and all internal parts,front and rear axle assemblies,axle shafts;axle shaft bearings;drive shaft assemblies;universal joints and yokes;viscous coupler assembly.
