Help! About to purchase a CL55 AMG, good decision
Ok, here is the deal. Currently I have a 2004 Range Rover and I really enjoy the car, however; I have found a 2002 CL55 AMG that has around 65,000 miles on it. They are asking $28,000 and I have them down to $27,000. They are offering an extensive aftermarket warranty for an extra $3500. Questions...

1. Is this a good deal? Above is the link to the car on autotrader so you can see the specs. I believe it is fully loaded.
2. I am very negative in my Range, so if this is a good deal I am hoping to make up some of this negative equity. Do you think the dealership can help with this???
3. I plan on going back to school in Fall of 2009 and probably won't need a car because I am hoping to go to NYU to get my MBA. However, it would be nice to drive this vehicle for the year before I have to go back!!!!
4. Is this car reliable?

Your worst nightmare...
I would say try to dump the range rover on your own as the dealer will offer you only less money. This will help with the negative equity. After you dump it what you saved on the RR cough up a bit more money and try to get the real deal. An 03-04 55, you will love the engine and the car. Just my .02

The car is reliable but if you stretch a bit you can find an '03 that's supercharged and you'll never want for power.
I think 30k for an '02 is a bit on the high side, especially in light of the mileage.
Good idea on the warranty though, make sure it covers the ABC suspension.
