2003 W215 Command Unit has SMS?
I always thought SMS was short for txt messaging? I thought maybe I could read my text messages through the command system but no can do, or so it seems. Whats the story here guys? How cool would that be if you could read txt on board the nav screen or info screen on the dash? I think that would be great and maybe even safer?? I didn't dwell on it too much when I found it, figuring it just didn't work. But today I saw a commercial for a Mercury model that reads txt messages! Its part of the ad! So, how do we set this thing up? It must be capable, right? I'm sure it probably worked in europe, as my command has a blank button on the right which I understand is a TV tuner button in europe. That button in my car now controls my Nav-TV ipod video unit on screen. Anyone have any idea how to remedy this?? I just got a fried board replaced in the car that had to do w/ the microphone system and just got the bug to make everything else work in the vehicle. Please, lets make this happen!!
