I bought a 997

I got a great deal on a 997.... and to tell you the truth the CL65 is an easier car to sell then a $80k plus car right now... I am out of credit ...... so I have to let something go....the CL65 is my only choice....the car is getting a ton of buzz on ebay... and a deal is real close with 2 buyers...it has only been a few days....the 997 would take a long time to sell....

I will back in one in less then 6 months...if I can find one....

That sounds like a **** poor excuse. Your out of credit so you let the cheaper car go, the one thats so utterly incredibly rare and ridiculously fast? You would risk that chance oh sir? I can't seem to understand this. You spent all this time slapping bones with your CL65 and what a magnificent car it is and suddenly, sale! Because your getting a new 997? Which is actually more expensive...

This whole charade with you and your "build numbers" is probably just to draw attention to your cause. Which apparently worked, at least one member seems to have checked out your ride for sale. I feel you just found out what a money pit the CL65 actually is and are desperate to get rid of it; hence the "build numbers/uber performance" blah blah blah

thats a lot of assumptions.

While I thought it was strange too, it seems he's a dealer.

Id like to pick up a CL65, but I just don't have any room to store the thing.

Nice.....But ignorance is bliss

Wow....I am not hitting on your woman ... calm down...we are just talking cars Man

Money Pit? It is under warranty and will be for some time ....hence the fact that an extended warranty is a phone call away....the new owner will have that option....

this car has had zero problems since I bought it... and I have put a few miles on it...Incredible car....

I have also owned many AMG's and I cant tell you one I would calla money pit...I will tell you my MURC is a money pit and my last gen 911 turbo was a money pit....

BESIDES....are they really that problamatic? I have talked with My uncle who is a Benz mechanic and many of his friends alike.... they claim the 65's are more dependable then a majority of the BENZ LINE ....and for the fact that it is a supercar with 600 plus hp ... it is certainly more dependable then it's competitors....oh it has none... so I guess it is a car in it's own class....many other members here will agree the car is not a dealer return headache..as you presume

Why am I selling it? Maybe you should read all the posts to actually get an idea of what to write in respect.....I have read all of yours...

I bought the 997 days after getting the CL65... I did buy the CL65 for myself...this is my second CL65....I picked up the 997 very cheap and I have decided to hold on to it for the reason that the car has more equity right now...the CL65 I am selling is being sold for very close to what I paid....besides I cant keep all the cars I have and have an empty credit line....yes I dont pay cash for all my cars.... that would be suicide..

YES i am a dealer.... this is not my primary source of income....
The CL65 is a great phenomenal car and this one I am selling I picked for myself and it is in superb condition and well worth the money ....

Again I am an avid enthusiast of all AMG's.....so this explains why I posted the #'s which by the way just came out about 2 weeks ago .... before that the AMG production #'s were a mystery to most of the members on here...

So next time you have to scratch your crotch.. please do it respectfully...

Huh? Sure thing, buddy. My previous post wasn't a green light for you to further advertise the pros of owning a Mercedes. I think a lot of us are aware of that *hence* why we are here.

In any event, I'm a bachelor so even if you were hitting on some women next to me, you wouldn't be knockin' my lady. Please continue to entertain yourself with build numbers and how fast the CL65 is... and proceed to sell it.

I just don't understand, if I had my dream car with performance of this caliber and the rarity that outmatches the Ferrari Enzo... I'd rather like to keep it. Duh, it's just me though

If you own a really good CL65 you should keep it, the chances of finding one as nice, as time goes by become less and less!!

NO BS here.. I have been a member a long time..

I appreciate the cars and I am an enthusiast as well as a dealer

I only want to sell AMG'S mostly because they are the cars I truly believe in and have great value for the dollar..

This is only an advantage to the people on this board...I am fair and I am not marking anything up $10k plus....

Also again I will add as I have before this is not my full time gig...I only do this part time .....most of the cars I buy are for myself and friends .....

You said it, I sell AMG because I truly believe in them, explain please.
What you are really saying is they have great value for the dollar, that's
car sales talk. In over 2 years you have not posted many threads, I have posted far more in just a year. You may like AMG's but I think you are a salesman first and an enthusiast second.

Can we get this straight....

I AM NOT A CAR SALESMAN.... I like AMG'S I DRIVE AMG'S.... I hold a dealer license for the sole purpose of buying the cars I want....I do sell the cars I have as well....... I pick these cars out myself and i am very cautious about what I buy....this is not what I do for a living......but I am not gong to sell the cars I ship here and put my time and effort into as well as the ton of money for my establishment to just give the cars away i buy... though I am not going to ask for $10k plus over what I pay...i.e. 3 cars on ebay right now are marked up $10k which is what the average is...

AMG'S are not that profitable .... they are great cars for the money....

I have seen a few forum members here paying in excess of $10k over the actual cost on some of the cars they bought.... personally I think it is a great thing to have another member to help out with finding them a car and saving them money... or maybe not?

I think Akademiks DID hit the Bulls Eye with his comments.
As they say, salesman will sell you a dead horse...
Especially, used cars salesman
I'm not picking on anybody in particular,
just wondering why (in our society) they are being hated so much ...

On the other hand,
if I'd have to sell my own car, I'd would be overly pollite too. B/Sing being put on a side

Why are you guys raggin on the guy so much? He put a car up for sale, a beautiful one I might add, and he is just looking to spread the word. Why do you care if he is a dealer? Can a dealer not have a passion for AMG's? To be honest, dealer/auction licenses are not that hard to get and can be had for less than $1000.

Thanks MB...

Funny I keep mentioning I dont sell cars full time and it is more of a hobby and not a job......it is not sinking in I suppose..

And MB you are right .... isnt this forum for enthusiasts and those who have a great car for sale to advertise for those who may be interested?

Everybody on this forum in the next year or so will be buying a car or selling a car for themselves or someone they know will be.. and they will not deal with a car dealer? wow I didnt know this....there must be a ton of cars for sale by private sellers that they are just looking to get rid of .....regardless if I am selling a car or not.....You have the choice to buy or not... but in the mean time dont judge me .....

I seriously think quite a few people have been taken by bad deal on a car and now anybody sellng a car that has any access to the auctions or a license is a Diablo...

mb_193,
I usually don't pick on young/undeveloped minds.
But... I'll make an exeption... looking at your signature.

>>"United we stand, divided we fall" Ludacris<<

Are you joking, quoting this as*hole?
He is/was a drug dealer, for God sake.
And to be called politically correct, excuse my French,
he wasn't a drug daler - he was an.... unlicenced pharmacist !
Grow up, google few words and discover Patrick Henry.
I think he was the one to used it first (United we stand, divided we fall.)

So ... if I say ..."fu*k you".
Could you quote me every time you use it?

Just chill man. I am young and I do know who Patrick Henry is. I also know who Ludacris is and his past and all the stuff. I am not condoning his past nor his present actions. I liked the lyric and the way he used it in a song so I decided to use it as a signature. I am sorry if it irritates you but you may choose not to read it if you are not in favor of it. I also think that attacking my signature has absolutely nothing to do with the topic.

I know Chead. LOL

And as for Ludacris ......If he was a successful drug dealer he would of not become a successful musician. Most great drug dealers end up ****ed up dead or in prison. But on another note. Drug dealers keep the city economy pumped up and truthfully without drugs this world would be more of a canvas without color and personality.

Hey do you guys this we would have Ben and Jerry or god rest his soul but George Carlin if drugs were not around?

Say yes to drugs and no to drug dealers. Why pay retail when you have can get a whole sale

I have no quarrels about a member posting a sale, it's what we have the classifieds here for. But to open thread after thread saying essentially the exact same thing for one purpose, in my opinion anyways is just downright stupid.

There's about two or three different threads depicting just how this and that the CL is and after all that, SALE time! He's treating every member here as if were illiterate or stupid... or both. We got it the first time.

I have nothing against "retardedmunk", truthfully. I just find it hilarious he's amped up his car so much, only to sell it. I do not believe his interest in the car is genuine, as he portrays it. That's all.

And no, it's not because he's a dealer, but simply because a true enthusiast would not get rid of a car held in such a high value. And he's done it twice.

In any event, good luck with the sale, bro.

I too think there is something to be said for multiple threads about how awesome the car is, then a "its for sale post"...the point of those posts are to hype up his vehicle for the sale (and if its not, that is the way is seems by doing it this way)...the correct thing to do would be post the car for sale and tell all about it IN THAT POST...or make it clear in every thread you start that you are trying to sell the car...to post other threads just to drum up interest (car is awesome, production numbers...), then several posts down say "oh yeah, its for sale" does treat the readers here as if we are stupid sheep who will fall for hype-manipulation...makes me think of "bait and switch" which car salesmen are famous for! I do not know retardedmunk, he may be a great guy and i'm not attacking him in any way...just dont try a bait and switch on us...some of us are partially educated the way you did it says to me "watch this, i'm gonna pump up how awesome this car is, then say its for sale and someone will be stupid enough to jump all over it because of how I hyped it up...sale time!"

again, i'm not attacking you..just saying if you have a car for sale...POST IT as for sale...dont pump it up over and over then say "its for sale"...even if you are a TRUE enthusiast, this makes it seem like you are not...all your threads about the car were way to close to the "its for sale" post to seem genuine

good luck with the sale, hopefully it will go to another who regards it as high as we all do

+1000000... God bless whatever drugs gave us the late, great George Carlin.

On another note, is this car still for sale? It is one amazing piece of machinery.

Well...

My original post the first one was the adding comments on how great the car is.... and I ALSO LISTED IT FOR SALE IN THE SAME THREAD..

My second Thread added the AMG # count.... and I added that the car was very very rare....

I dont think anything is wrong with this? Am I amping the the thread up for the sale? No I simply enthusiastic about the car as well as letting everybody know it is for sale....

Yes the car is still available and it is on ebay......I am taking offers.. the best one is at $48.5k with a trade and...... I dont want a trade...although I will take $47.5k for the car and I will pay for the shipping.....

sorry retardedmunk...like i said, i dont know u and i'm not judging you...just telling you how it appears to others :/ "this car is the awesomest car ever! powerful rare and just great!....i'm selling it" that just doesnt sit right with most enthusiasts...if someone praised a car that much to me, then said they were getting rid of it, I'd think they were faking how much they liked the car (right or wrong)...espcially if they were known as a dealer (even part time) which is probably why you are catching so much hell *haha*...seems like you'll say the same thing about whatever the next is car you try to sell...its the "this is the last xxx you'll ever need, it slices, it dices, it chops....blah blah" sales pitch sound to it that makes it seem fake...like the guy selling OxyClean...do you think he REALLY enjoys the product that much?? LOL

no worries...you have a nice thing going where you can experience many different cars going from one to another by selling...i appologize if what I said was taken the wrong way

enjoy all the cars you can! still a really nice looking car tho, someone will get a beauty
