i think we got only 7 people to put down payment the last time we try. if anyone knows someone who's willing to do a build for w215 carbon fiber rear diffuser, lets give them a try.

No, that was not the issue. 7 would have been great! but when it came time to pay, only 1 or 2 people actually did... so that is why it never happened.

However, with out new rapid prototyping, which saves time and cost, we can probably do this part now for $700 if 10 people got on board. However, there is only so many times we can keep trying to do this, and I still do not see there being enough interest.

Yes, scrolling up at my last post, it does appear I said that. It has been a while I forgot, also, it was not our first attempt at this. We tried it once before with the similar results.
However, with out new rapid prototyping, which saves time and cost, we can probably do this part now for $700 if 10 people got on board. However, there is only so many times we can keep trying to do this, and I still do not see there being enough interest.

You can make it Like a Calrsson front lip or your own design.
But i see that its easyer to buy Carlsson

Your talking about a front lip? this thread was for a rear diffuser. I was going to say Carlsson is the quicker option. But when we sell their parts they always take 4 weeks to get here anyway...

as of last time when we try to do this group buy a couple of month ago, we had 6 people including me who did put down a deposit. but that was for 15 buyer needed. if neal say ok with 10 for $700 i think we should be pretty close, since N.cali CL55club, NRL and morpheus_says wasnt part of the first 6 to pony up. that would put us in at 9 people. ask neal if he still has the email or names of the orignal 5 people maybe we can get this done.

I will try to dig up the 6 people who paid last time, and email them. I think i can find it somewhere. I doubt they are still in for it, but we can try!

Gentlemen, I was one of the original people to put their money down for the 215 rear diffuser. My money is still down to proceed. Neal if you don't have my details anymore let me know and I will re-supply them.
If this is to move then I would suggest that a particular date be set by Neal for those that are interested to put their money down otherwise this will just drag on.
As to design, my thoughts are that a 3 fin design will look the best, 4 fins will be too fussy.

I will give this one last shot.... Man this thread is so long, I do not even wanna read threw all of this! The diffuser will look like our C63 diffuser, but obviously a much modifed version for the W215 CL55/65.
